Glenda Barry is the director of Human Resources for the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment. She has a B.A. Degree from the University of Toledo and has completed graduate work from the University of Colorado.
Glenda is one of the founding Board Members of the Colorado Black Women for Political Action, a member and past president of Links Incorporated, Denver Chapter and life member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Epsilon Nu Omega Chapter, Denver Chapter Associates, Jack and Jill of America.
Glenda is also currently a member of the Working Together Foundation and Captain of District 35 in Adams County. She has been involved in Adams County politics as election judge, precinct committee person for over 25 years. She was selected by the Denver Urban Spectrum as one of 25 Denver Women, Timeless Legends. A few of her former affiliations: Board member of the Butterfly Pavilion, Judicial District 17, gubernatorial appointee to the State Board for Community Colleges, also served as President.
Glenda is a Broker-Associate and a member of the National Association of Realtors.
She is an active member of Scott United Methodist Church. She is married to Odell Barry, former Mayor of Northglenn and former Denver Bronco. She has two grown sons and five grandchildren. Glenda enjoys reading and playing the piano.
